Nomad Bushcraft Course
‘Not all those who wander are lost’ JRR TOLKIEN
You can no more be told how to go light than you can be told how to hit a ball with a bat. It is something that must be lived through.” The Forest, by Stewart E. White.

You may be tired or hungry. It could be dark; you may be on top of a mountain, or gliding across a lake in an open canoe. Maybe you have ten miles yet to walk on sore feet and in wet clothes. You might be seated around a campfire in the woods; canoe beached, pack off, camp pitched, and enjoying a simple meal with your fellow travellers. Your meal be supplimented with foraged edibles from your days travel, or fish caught off the back of your canoe. You may be washing or cooling off under an icy cold waterfall. Maybe you have a river or lake to cross or a forest to navigate through, and all the time you will carry only the minimum of equipment. This course is a journey on many levels. It will involve learning bushcraft and wilderness survival skills for most British/European environments including: Sea-Shore & Estuarine, Moor & Mountain, River & Lakeland, Coniferous and Deciduous woodland.
We will cover navigation, finding & purifying water, fishing, trail-craft, backwoods cookery, wild foods, mountain safety, basha-boats, rope work, open canoeing and much more.
Please Note: You must have completed the Woodlander course, and have a very good level of fitness. This course is designed to be physically demanding!
