Aboriginal Testimonials

Good morning,

Just a quick e-mither to say a huge thank you for another great course.
I wasn't really sure what I would take away from the course that would differ from the group aboriginal course.

But after having time to think (on a full stomach), it comes down to simply knowing! Knowing that, if I needed to, or ever wanted to, I could make myself quite comfortable, get myself food, water, shelter and fire (I was worried about that bit).

I have been walking a little taller, I feel a real sense of accomplishment, it was a really interesting challenge, the mental aspect was in some ways easier than I had anticipated, but the solo side was most felt at night. In everyday life you sometimes wish for time to alone with your thoughts, turns out I didn't have as many as I thought (other than the ever present thoughts of food).

So thank you very much for your expertise, time, vigilance and of course the bacon sandwiches and crepes!

cheers

Dave

Hi Woodsmoke,

For the Aboriginal records I had lost just over 8lbs, that was recorded after breakfast so probably a bit more, it was a great week, I was amazed at how you tune in to your surroundings a bit like I did on the tracker course, you become acutely aware of shifts in weather (even though we were in wood) and you visual recognition of the various food items becomes very sharp. I guess its more a case of slotting back into our real awareness level, from the filtered version we have to use in modern life to stop us overloading our senses, I can already feel my senses fading slightly, good to know that when I need them they kick right back in.

Thanks again for your diligence and attention

Best regards

David Kennedy
