Bushcraft Course Locations
Our wilderness bushcraft courses are conducted from an expedition style base-camp, within a private estate situated between Lake Windermere and Esthwaite Water, in the very heart of the Lake District National Park .

Set against a spectacular backdrop of mountains, lakes and rivers, the 2000-acre lakeland estate boasts a diverse mix of terrain; broadleaf coppice, coniferous woodland, rocky hillsides and crags, mountain streams, meadows and tarns. Our base-camp is situated on the wooded shore of a 4–acre lake (SSSI) complete with an early 19th century boathouse. The estate is surrounded on all sides by National Trust land, boasting stunning views, from Scafell Pike and the Langdale’s, to the Irish Sea.
This combination of environments gives us an impressive range of plant and tree species, and is a haven for wildlife; red deer, roe deer, badger, fox, brown hare, red squirrel, otter, pine marten, nationally important dragonflies and abundant bird life.
The estate is very secluded yet not remote, easily reached by both road and rail. From your cars, there is a 10-minute drive off-road in the Woodsmoke Land Rovers to transport you to your base-camp location. There are parking facilities provided within the estate, and for those travelling by rail we can provide transport from Windermere station, which is less than 30 minutes drive away.
